Lacking Oasis

Uncategorized 2 Comments

I was attempting to create a playlist on Spotify to combine my usual iTunes playlist with new stuff I’ve found on Spotify. At the same time, I was reading this article on Grantland about Noel Gallagher.

The obvious next step, figure out what Oasis songs I had in my playlist. I had three. And it wasn’t very interesting: Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova, and Don’t Go Away. After some digging, I’m up to about 10.

Oasis was my favorite band at one point, somewhere around 8th or 9th grade. Oasis was my first concert. The past 10 years or so? Not so much Oasis. Except for my two years at work when I could only listen to CDs (no internet or iPod), I’m pretty sure I spun a lot of (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?

So here is a less than a huge hit, which is one of my favorites. It’s off The Masterplan, which if you don’t remember, was an album of B-Sides which was better than almost everything else out at the time.
