Borderline Fantastic

My 4 Spring Breaks during college were all had the same purpose: see as many baseball games as possible … in Florida. From what I remember it started as an IM conversation, Evan just mentioning that I should fly down. The next thing we knew, it was tradition. The Freshman Year trip may have been the best. Sure, by Junior and Senior years we had become professional trip planners and actually took time to relax, but the first year was just special. We went to games at the Braves, Phillies, and Indians camps. Saw our friends college teams on opposite sides of the state, neither friend played in their game. Even squeezed in a High School softball game. We used Evan’s family minivan. Tried to save money by taking along a cooler and buying all sorts of food at the beginning of the trip, we utilized it the first day and then remembered it was there the last day, that wasn’t pleasant. Its currently referred to as ‘The Failed Experiment.’ Probably not what most would consider awesome Spring Breaks, but, for me, I can’t think of anything better.
