What is your cereal of choice?
by Matt

I used to be a huge Frosted Flakes man. I would intermix Raisin Bran, Honey Nut Cheerios, Fruit Loops, and Frosted Mini-Wheats. That was all when I was younger, although I am suddenly craving some Honey Nut Cheerios. In college, I never really ate breakfast, so my cereal consumption declined. Now, I eat breakfast everyday before work and it most often includes a bowl of cereal. My cereal of choice is Kashi brand Crunch or the Mini-Wheats. Due to my lactose intolerance, its hard for me to eat cereal. However, several months ago I switched to drinking soy milk, preferably Silk (vanilla flavor), which is lactaid free and tastes pretty good. The combination of Silk with Kashi makes for a good meal.

For a few years now I’ve been a Cheerios exclusive. I only have cereal on weekends or if I’m at home. There is no reason to have multiple boxes of different cereals when it takes me so long to get through one box. Somehow the Cheerios haven’t gotten old.

Previous to this Crispix was at the top of the list. On special occasions I will have my favorite, Cap’n Crunch. The problem with the Cap’n is that after a few days your mouth gets torn up and bothers you all day.

In pre-school I made this booklet about my favorite things in which I had declared my favorite food was Chocolate Chip Cookies. You can imagine my life became a whole lot sweeter when I realized they were eventually a breakfast cereal otherwise known as Cookie Crisp :)

I am a huge cereal connoisseur and its really my only form of milk intake. I normally keep four cereals around: Frosted Mini-Wheats, lucky charms, cinnamon toast crunch, and raisin-nut bran. I am also a fan of Life, i have some yogurt-nut life cereal at home right now and i think it may be my new favorite.
