Top 5 Things I Miss Now That I’m In The Real World
by Matt

5. Cheap Alcohol - I could get a couple of pitchers of beer during a happy hour in college for what I am paying now for a draught.

4. Not having to pay so many bills - Kind of obvious, but from paying back school loans to paying off credit cards, it can be quite the pain.

3. Not worrying about being mature 70% of the time - It was always nice knowing you didn’t have to act like an adult yet.

2. Free Stuff - Seriously, think about all the free stuff you got living under your parents roof, and then all the free food and flair you would get in college. Nothing beats that.

1. Not having to wake up early to go to work/school 5 days a week - As much as it doesnt bother me to get up early, I still liked when you could not have an early class or had the opportunity to skip class. You can’t do that with work really.

5. Being an idiot - carrying water balloons in your trunk and/or pockets because you just never know, daring someone to chug a pint of tabasco, and then watching them do it, etc…

4. Going out after some 8pm exam that you either aced or totally bombed. Drinking after you kicked some tests ass or got an F was awesome. Somehow it wasn’t so exciting if you got a C+

3. “Campus Buzz”. You never really appreciate that your daily routing involves walking through campus, you never know what kind of experiences you will encounter, whether it be plaza preachers telling you you are going to hell or running into a wall after rubber necking a 9.5

2. Roommates. Living alone was cool for the first 2 days. Now I spend 20 minutes cooking dinner, take about 5 minutes to eat it because there is no dinner time conversation, then I finish, look around, and figure out I have dish duty that night.

1. Girls between 18-25. There aren’t any in Fort Myers, except a couple of seniors at the high school I work at, but I think there may be some kind of school rule or federal law against that kind of thing.

5. dorm life…sure there were small rooms, but you could always count on office chair races down the hallways and visiting a neighbor at any time (fyi: girls and pillow fights: urban legend!)
4. wearing a hoodie and jeans everywhere..the official college uniform for females
3. walking with an mp3 player…now I would just look like..well, a college kid haha
2. b.s.: aka writing papers and essay tests by stretching your info a little bit. if i tried that now, I’d get a room full of middle schoolers calling me out on it haha
1. easy access to your friends! it was nice to be a walk away from almost everyone! ;)

4) Fun mail - in college i would get packages from my parents or brother & sister-in-law. Now i get bills.
3) Semesters - there was a finite end to whatever you were doing. Now work just goes on and on and on…..
2) Cheap alcohol
1) easy access to friends. Now we are all in different states on different time zones, and we all hate the phone.
