Borderline Fantastic

If I see any sort of Stupid Tricks on Letterman, I’m likely to share. Here we go 2 out of 3 on, let’s say the trick experience. I don’t know how they didn’t close with the pogo stick/violin. The keg flip wasn’t anything special but I enjoyed Dave’s interaction with the kid.

#1 – Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner (Acoustic)

This came out first on the acoustic EP. It was also on From Under the Cork Tree. Not nearly as good as the acoustic but still great.

I couldn’t find the right version anywhere. Google led me to this German site, no idea if this is the correct embed code. I’m not fluent in German.

#2 – Sugar, We’re Going Down

The song that hit it big. All my friends knew how much I liked Fall Out Boy and were aware of some of their music. When this song blew up they all thought of me whenever they heard the song.

I’m just a notch in your bedpost but you’re just a line in a song.

#3 – Homesick at Space Camp

The first Fall Out Boy song I ever heard. Can you say love at first listen? I think it was a demo that I downloaded from AbsolutePunk. It was called Headphones. I was hooked.

Tonight the headphones will deliver you the words that I can’t say.

#4 – Of All the Gin Joints In All the World

The track before Sugar on From Under the Cork Tree sees a lot of fastballs. Meaning it has protection in the lineup. You wouldn’t really remember if it wasn’t very good. Turns out to be my 2nd favorite song on the album.

#5 – 7 Minutes in Heaven (Atavan Halen)

I started this list after this song got stuck in my head last week. As I was looking to remember which song it is reminded me how many FOB songs I love with only a few albums to choose from (if you notice I don’t have any on this list from the newest album).

#6 – Grand Theft Autumn/Where is your Boy?

When Sugar hit it big I thought this should have been the next single. So what if you have to go back to the previous album? As far as radio singles go, I think this would have been their second biggest hit, had it been released. The only reason it isn’t ranked higher for me is because I think I managed to overplay it myself. It’s also very good acoustic.

Maybe he won’t find out what I know: you were the last good thing about this part of town.

#7 – Dead on Arrival

The first FOB single off of Take This To Your Grave. Between this and the other two songs off that album that are higher on the list, it was not a difficult prediction to think they’d be huge.

#8 – Hum Hallelujah

I listened to Infinity on High a bunch of times before this one caught me ear. Then I actually listened to it 5 times in a row. Yes, 5. I don’t think I’ve ever done that before.

One day we’ll get nostalgic for disaster.

#9 – Thnks Fr Th Mmrs

Look at this, a track from Infinity On High. This was the track that caught my ear the first time I listened to the album and it turned into a pretty big single. The YouTube video has over 39 million plays.
