I’m not a big fan of scary movies. But it sounds like a good Fives to me.

I love scary movies. But I just have an unhealthy obsession with movies in general. The thing about scary movies is that it covers such a wide area of film. There are countless genres that have movies that can classify. As for my five favorites? That’s a tough one.

Hitchcock’s Rear Window is probably at the top of the list, but pretty much all of Hitchcock’s movies can apply. He really had suspense figured out.

Let the Right One In is another. It’s not really a scary movie as it is a very good drama, but it’s a vampire movie and considered horror.

A Clockwork Orange is up there too. It’s not really considered a scary movie by any conventional meaning, but Alex is in my opinion one of the scariest villains in any movie ever. The last scene of that movie scared the hell out of me and stuck with me.

I love Saw. The sequels didn’t start off bad, but have gotten progressively worse. I still watch them since I can’t get enough of their jaw dropping twists. Saw stands a lone though, and it really is awesome.

28 Days Later is probably my favorite zombie movie of all time. It was awesome, and top notch.

Audition scared the hell out of me. Asian culture has a way of producing really intense horror. They have it down to a science.

As for my favorite slasher movies of all time, that goes to Halloween. Rob Zombies reboot of the series is awesome as well.
