This one popped up in iTunes over the weekend. The Starting Line has really fallen out of my playlist the past few years. This song was never really on the playlist. I’m not sure if it was even on an album. I did find one video on YouTube for the song. It was an I miss you video with pictures of a girl this guy apparently misses a lot. I thought better of putting that one up.
I haven’t used Imeem before, apparently if you click through you can hear the full version, not just a 30 second clip. You should definitely do that.

This one came on Sirius this morning not any of my iThings. I was surprised. The only songs I ever hear outside my playlists from Dude Ranch are Dammit and sometimes Josie. By far the best Blink album.

Today’s song that caught my ear on iTunes has turned out to be kinda spooky. First, the group: Rehasher. A Less Than Jake side project. Take Less Than Jake but speed it up, make it heavier, and punk it up a bit and you have Rehasher. Their only album, Off Key Melodies, came out in 2004. I didn’t think they had any others out, and I was right. Their 2nd album comes out on Friday. Crazy, I haven’t thought about Rehasher in a while and they come back into my life the week their new album comes out. I think iTunes’ random function has subliminal marketing. This song is called Sinking, check it out and I’ll check out their new album this week.

I’ve been watching Ed again and in Season 2 they changed the theme song from Foo Fighters – Next Year for whatever reason. Foo Fighters were back for Season 3. They used Clem Snide – Moment in the Sun. I completely forgot this song, probably because I never heard it anywhere besides when watching Ed. It’s been in my head off and on for the past week. That meant that I had to find it on YouTube and see if I could get it in your head.

With my commute down to about 10 minutes the iPod doesn’t make the trip in the car anymore. It’s usually just 10 minutes of flipping through Sirius channels, hoping to find two songs to fill the ride. So I’ve been starved for music. Yesterday I was working on some stuff on the computer and actually used iTunes for music for a change. Crazy, I know. I need to get back to utilizing my playlists and sharing some of the songs that catch my ear. Like this one from The Rocket Summer. It managed to knock Good Girls Go Bad out of my head, it had been in there for three days. The YouTube version I found is live, but is pretty solid. The Rocket Summer – A Song is Not a Business Plan …

Heard Owl City on Sirius tonight. It caught my ear as something very familiar but I couldn’t place it. I’m going with it being like Death Cab or Postal Service. I’m not sure about that though because I don’t like either of those bands (just a few Death Cab songs). Here’s the song I heard, Fireflies …
During my searching this other song, Hello Seattle, came up a lot. Not as big a fan at first listen, but I’ve apparently got a lot of tracks to catch up on. Here’s that one for a more well-rounded Owl City experience …

New Cobra Starship song on their MySpace. Why is it amazingly awesome? Because it’s called Pete Wentz is the Only Reason We’re Famous. Their blog entry about it is equally hilarious. The album won’t have that name because Patrick Stump helped too. Of course, I loved Midtown before anyone had heard of Fall Out Boy.
How does MySpace Music not have an embed option? Isn’t the idea of a band posting a song to MySpace to get as many people to listen? It can’t be that difficult. You can even throw a little ad on it.

I’m busy with things, so here’s a song. This song popped into my head out of nowhere. It’s not my favorite song from The Ataris (just because there are so many good ones to choose from) but I think it has the best title. It’s also the title of an episode of One Tree Hill, so double points. I don’t think they made a music video for this one, but I found the song with emo blobs to join you on the journey.

Iglu & Hartly – In This City
This stuck in my head song got passed over because it occurred a few weekends ago when I had to travel all over the northeast. Since then I haven’t heard it too many times. On the ride home today I heard this and my stuck in my head song from yesterday.
